The winning team in this year’s RAAM 4-rider competition is Team Working Nation USA – formerly Team Live Earth Powered by Fight Meso , made up of Kurt Broadhag, Phil Tinstman, Chris DeMarchi and Anthony Restuccia, the same foursome that won last year as Team Live Earth—Road to Paris. They rode onto City Dock, here in Annapolis today, 5 days, 19 hours and 37 minutes after leaving Oceanside, California for an average speed of 21.98 mph. They finished ahead of all of the 4-rider teams and for the second consecutive year beat all of the 8-rider teams as well. The winning 8-rider squad, Team DMS, had been trailing them for much of the race and were as close as 11 miles toward the end, but Team Working Nation USA held them off. Last year this same foursome finished in 5 days, 18 hours and 45 minutes at an average of 21.65 mph.

This year they raced to raise awareness for “Working Nation,” an organization that Broadhag says, “Is about bringing jobs back to the middleclass of America.” The organization asserts that within 20 years, 47% of all jobs are likely to be replaced by technology while a billion new entrants to the global workforce are poised to compete with U.S workers. Working Nation is a social impact organization that seeks to restore the U.S workforce and prepare them for the future.

Congratulations guys for a job well done!
